Dreamcatching Virtual Workshop for Cruinniú na nÓg at Luan Gallery

posted: Jun 03

Luan Gallery is delighted to announce that we will be  offering two free 'Dream Catching' virtual workshops on Saturday the 13th of June as part of the annual Cruinniú na nÓg: Day of Youthful Creativity.

Ireland is the first, and only, country in the world to have a national day of free creativity for children and young people under 18. Cruinniú na nÓg is a flagship initiative of the Creative Ireland Programme’s Creative Youth plan to enable the artistic potential of children and young people.

This year we are doing things differently and everything is going online. Joining other Cultural Institutions from across the country, the theme of the Luan Gallery's event is  “Dream Catching”.

Children will learn how to create their own dream-catchers while learning the history of these magical talismans in a fun, step by step video tutorial delivered by Luan Gallery’s Cultural Assistant, Emma King. They will also have the opportunity to let their imaginations run wild as they are encouraged to dream big and think about their future aspirations and ambitions.

Both workshop videos are available to view online from Saturday 13th until Saturday 20th June 2020.
